We have been using many proverbs on day to day life. Proverbs were created either on the basis of life-experience on a subject or to motivate the people or else to state a reality. But here are some facts which depicts that many proverbs are not consistent with reality.
Proverb: Slow and steady wins the race.
Inconsistency : Let’s go back. We studied this proverb as a result of defeat of rabbit in race with tortoise. But did tortoise won the race because of its slow and steadiness in game?? Or, the rabbit lost the game because of laziness and over-confidence. Suppose, rabbit learnt by his mistake and decided not to sleep while racing then tortoise would never win the game. So it would be better to write “ Laziness and overconfident looses the race”.
Proverb : Everything can be made possible, Or everything is possible because Impossible itself says I M Possible.
Inconsistency : Can you read this article with closed eyes right now??This proverb was basically evolved to motivate people. But it is good for children only. Nature has put some limitations to human being, we cannot go beyond that. Even in science and mathematics have some limits where they fail to explain many things. So most appropriate saying would be “ Everything can be made possible if not strictly impossible ”.
